“May I please draw your OC?”

carminecrossroads:

Reblog this message if you encourage anyone that wants to draw your OC to do so.  No need to ask for permission in advance.

Go for it.  Draw my OC.  If you want, I’ll even give you reference posts.  Go to town on it.

You are welcome to draw my OC and surprise me with the result.  Seriously.  In fact, I encourage it.  I will proudly display whatever it is you submit to me regarding my OC.  There is a chance that I will squeal about it for several days.

Even if you feel you aren’t good at whatever artistic adventure it is you do, please feel free to submit it to me.  I want to see what you have done.

This also goes for anyone who has ever been inspired to write something based on one of my fics. I LOVE hearing that people have been inspired to write based on something I wrote. You know who you are, so I won’t name you! ❤️❤️

If I inspired you to write (or draw!), please feel free to send me messages with your links or snippets! I try to be a Writing Mum™ as much as I can within the constraints of my own time and my own obsessive writing habits, and I want to encourage you all as much as possible!

awwww @problematic-cinnamon-roll you make me laugh XD

*sad trumpet noise indeed* HOWEVER:
My fiancé made the good point that Bioware’s going to want to pour all their energy into Anthem because otherwise, if they sink too many resources into multiple projects at once, they’ll essentially be competing against themselves. At this point they’ve got Anthem, ME, and DA as their major IPs, so sinking the majority of their resources into Anthem makes sense. As a lot of people have already pointed out, the fate of DA and ME might rest on the success of Anthem, so it’s probably a good thing that they’re focusing wholeheartedly on that… though I still like to think (perhaps naively?) that ME and DA – DA in particular – are each popular enough that if Anthem fails, those two franchises won’t go down with the ship. I dunno. I LIVE IN HOPE.

As for teasing for HZD 2…

*sad trumpet intensifies* HAHAH
But for real, again, this doesn’t really disappoint me – HZD was SO INCREDIBLE and, tbh, so recent (only just recently celebrated its 1-year anniversary in February!) that I’m not surprised they don’t have anything concrete yet to show for the sequel. Honestly, I’m happy to wait. It could be a couple of years even, but if that means we get a sequel of equal calibre as the original game, I can wait.

In the meantime… UHHHHH THE FUCKING LAST OF US?? OH MY GOD THAT TRAILER BLEW MY MIND?? I’M SO READY TO BE FUCKED UP OK, GIVE ME PAPA JOEL AND MURDER!ELLIE

This Physically hurts to Read

Then count me out. Sorry, BioWare.

Source.

Well, HZD doesn’t have romance and that game is amazing. I get that we all love Bioware games for the romances, and this is disappointing as fuck.

But, if they truly want Anthem to be different, to be something totally new for the company, nixing romances is definitely a way to establish that.

This news hurts and gives me pause, but I’m still holding out hope that this story can be good.

I take issue with the phrase “the romantic stuff”. Could that be any more dismissive-sounding? As though “that romantic stuff” is just silly and frivolous and can be brushed aside?

Sure, it’s not necessary for a good game to have a romance component – HZD as an excellent case in point – but they need to be cognizant of the language they use. Romantic relationships in games – in movies, comics, books, stories of all kinds – shouldn’t be disparaged.
