I’m in the mood for some fluff and/or smut… anyone wanna throw me a prompt?
– Aloy/Nil (Horizon Zero Dawn)
– Blackwall/Arya Lavellan (Dragon Age)
– Solas/Elia Lavellan (Dragon Age)
– Abelas/Athera Lavellan (Dragon Age)
The storm rages around her, but she stands calmly in the eye of it.
Her prey won’t escape her. She moves sinuously towards the bandit camp, her eyes narrowed against the sheeting rain.
Lightning snaps in the air, and a rumble of thunder almost hides his voice as he slides into the grass beside her. “I waited for you,” he whispers. “Time passing pulls the anticipation tight as wire.”
She smirks at him. His voice is cool, but she can feel the excitement vibrating from his skin. He’s not fooling anyone with his blasé poetry.
She nocks an arrow and pulls her drawstring tight. “Let’s do this,” she whispers.

Giveaway prize for @memaidraws of Valyssa Lavellan and Solas! Congratulations again for winning my giveaway ❤
Dear @kaijulover142,
Ooh, I’ve never thought about that ship. I did a quick search on AO3 and found no fics under that ship – it looks like you would be the first to write it!
If Aratak/Aloy is your favourite ship, then I encourage you to write it! Go for it and write that rarepair!
Ahh, one of my favourite memes. Thanks for the tag @alyssalenko!
From a little Abelas/Lavellan oneshot I wrote yesterday:
These moments were all too brief, fleeting tastes of a love that he could never hope to keep, but the memories would warm him until the end of his days.
Why do I write sad things
WHYYYYY TT^TT
Tagging it forward to @ocean-in-my-rebel-soul, @hellarcanine, @littlesnowarrow, @problematic-cinnamon-roll, @sun-and-shadow-aloy, back at @alyssalenko (give us another line, girl!!) and anyone else who wants to participate!
Thanks for the tag @alyssalenko! I did this a couple weeks ago I think, and it was all different then… so here’s round two 😂

– Baewall and Lavellan by NSFWFrosch.
If you’re looking at this: consider yourself tagged!
Gather ‘round, my children, for tonight we have a special guest gift fic from my fellow Canadian writer and Niloy fan @jadefyre. It’s fucking gorgeous and hot, ok?
Read here on AO3, and leave her some well-deserved goddamn praise.
NSFW below the cut.
She was the most beautiful being he’d ever seen. She stood panting, a ring of death splaying outward from her feet, with her spear at her side. If he didn’t take this opportunity now, he feared it was going to slip away like water through his fingers.
Before she could react, his mouth was on hers, her back against the stone wall. He staggered backward as she shoved, more out of surprise and shock than rejection, and stared at her from two paces away.
Her eyes blazed with anger before simmering into the same quiet determination she carried into every battle thus far. She leapt upon him, grabbing at his lower lip with her teeth and clawing her hands against every inch of bare skin – and on him, there was a lot – before she pulled back, gasping for air.
There was something feral in her eyes that Nil hadn’t seen before. He picked her up, looping her legs around his waist and pressing her against the stone wall once again. This time, she wouldn’t let him pull away. Her legs clamped around him and trapped him in her embrace, pressing her core against the hardness that hard formed between his legs and undulating against him in an erotic dance that only served to further inflame his desire.
She seemed wiser to the way of the world compared to when they’d first met. She was younger then. Naive even. But the wilds had broken that spirit, and now, in all of her worldly wisdom, she threatened to tear him asunder without a word.
When she’d had enough teasing, she unwrapped herself and fell to her knees, looking Nil in the eyes before releasing his member from its confines and wrapping her perfect mouth around the head.
She tore him to pieces.
Nil’s hands couldn’t decide where to go first: the wall for support, or her hair to urge her to go faster. He watched, breathless, speechless, as she took him in his entirety over and over and over again.
She stared up at him, eyes the colour of forests and lakes and all that was right in this world.
Awestruck, her stared back until the intensity and the coiling in his belly and his imminent release all sprung in one go and he tightened his grip on her hair, warning her, trying to pull away-
She wouldn’t let him go, of course she wouldn’t, and closed her eyes in sheer, utter, fucking perfect bliss as his seed spilled down her throat. Her tongue spun in lazy circles around him and he couldn’t handle it and couldn’t get enough all at once, breathing prayers in her name (what was her name?) to the Sun, to the Goddess, to anyone who’d listen.
And then she pulled away, and his first instinct was to follow her, to chase after that sweet yet sordid warmth, but he stopped.
His knees buckled but he held steady.
She stood, grinned her tameless grin, and ran off into the night.
Hey @kaijulover142! Thanks for thinking of me when looking for writing advice! Not sure how helpful I’ll be, but I’ll do my best!
– Advice about writing a rare pair: Oh man, I love writing rare pairs. Like, a LOT. But the main piece of advice I have, sad though it may seem, is to keep low expectations about how much readership it’ll get. Rare pairs especially are a labour of love – you need to go in knowing that few people will read what you write, and with the conviction in your own pairing to keep on writing despite the likely lack of feedback. On this note, you might consider not posting/publishing the fic until it’s done; the temptation to post in order to get feedback is strong, but the disappointment if you get little response can be even stronger and might quash your motivation to keep writing. And that, IMO, would be the saddest thing. I actually didn’t start posting my most recent Niloy longfic (What Else Matters) until it was 95% finished for the exact reason that I knew not many people would read it, and I didn’t want to be discouraged by the lack of response from finishing I piece of writing that I really did enjoy working on.
– Advice about writing AU fics: *scratches head cluelessly* honestly I don’t know if I can give much advice about this, since I’ve never written a true AU! I’m actually currently considering writing one (THANKS @hellarcanine HAHAHA), so the only advice I can really give at this point is: have fun with it! Have fun fleshing our your AU world and your characters’ places in the world. Brainstorm like crazy and just throw ideas at yourself! From the AU fics I’ve read, AUs give the opportunity to be more creative with your characters/plotlines/settings etc…since you don’t have to stick to the stricter constraints of the canon world. So take advantage of it! See what fun and creative ideas you can come up with while maintaining the essence of your characters’ personalities!
– Writing NSFW stuff: *wiggles eyebrows* HAH. I love writing NSFW stuff, as everyone knows. My biggest piece of advice for breaking into NSFW writing is to read smut. Read a lot of smut. Figure out what kind of smut you like to read, and then use this as a template to guide the way you write your own. My smut style is heavily influenced by a fantastic author named Karen Marie Moning, and if you were to read her books, you would see her influence in my work. I also had to do some *ahem* research when writing f/f smut for Aloy/Ikrie, and I definitely found it helpful to read f/f fics on AO3 before attempting my own writing of it.
I think that’s all I’ve got for now! I hope this has been helpful to you!
Yours truly,
– Your friendly neighbourhood Pika xo
