2. Which sentence or paragraph is your favorite among those in the fics you’ve written? Why is it your favorite?

Ooh! There was a post during Fic Writer’s Week where I put my favourite quotes, so instead of being boring and repeating myself, here’s that post. My ultimate favourite quote is from Chapter 11 (Waterfall) of Stormbirds and Stalkers.

Another favourite line which I didn’t mention in that post, though, is from Shadow of the Stormbird in Chapter 2 (the horrible sad breakup chapter). It’s my own writing so it might be kind of weird to say, but I always get a lump in my throat when I read this bit: 

Every night when they stopped to rest, Aloy would press herself flush against Nil’s body, wanting to soak up his heat and wash away the chill that seemed to be growing between them like frost on a spring leaf. Nil would wrap his arms around her tightly, and Aloy could fool herself into thinking things were as they had always been; after all, Nil wouldn’t hold her like this, touch her with the passion that he always had, unless things were fine. Would he?

But in a brutal, honest corner of her mind, Aloy was starting to realize that it was an illusion. Something was wrong. A stitch in their relationship had been split during that first argument, and Aloy could feel it unravelling slowly. And she didn’t know how to sew things back together.

The inevitability of the breakup makes my throat hurt when I read these lines, even though I know everything’s going to be fine in the end. 

8. If you could have an artist create fan art for any of your fics, which would it be and why? 

OMG EVERYTHING ALL OF THE FICS ALL OF THEM HAHAHAH. But ok, what I really want would be art for Chapter 17 (Tenakth Blood, Part II) of Stormbirds and Stalkers, where Nil and Aloy are lounging in bed together. I WISH I could draw so I could sketch that scene. 

Also, have you guys seen the NSFWFrosch blog? Uhhh a gif of a Niloy sex scene would be amazing. Possibly of this smut oneshot. 

But you know, that’s just off the top of my head. It’s not like I’ve thought much about it or anything. 😅 😅 😅
