1. Stormbirds and Stalkers: A Tale of Aloy and Nil

This was the longest fic I’ve written to date (almost 100k words) and the one I’m proudest of. I wrote the whole thing in just over a month while working full-time hours (usually I work part-time). This ship took me by the throat and wouldn’t let go, and still hasn’t released me. I met so many lovely amazing online friends through this fic and I’m so grateful.

2. The Charlatan and the Pirate Queen: A Reyes Vidal Origin Story

This fic about Reyes Vidal (Mass Effect: Andromeda) and Aria T’Loak (Mass Effect OT) was the first fic I wrote this year that really deviated from canon, and the first one I wrote that wouldn’t get out of my head. I love these two characters from the Mass Effect universe and it was my smutty, smutty pleasure to throw them together in this fic. I reread it recently and I’ll admit it needs some editing, but I’m still proud of it.

3. Shadow of the Stormbird

This fic was a lot of firsts for me. It was my first attempt at going beyond the canon events of a game, my first OCs (Luka the Banuk shamaness, and Taran the Tenakth warrior), and my first time making my own damn self cry while writing something (NILOY FOREVERRRR TT^TT). 

4. Wearing Nothing: An entire smut scene written in 100-word drabbles

I was really into the idea of 100-word drabbles for a while there so I challenged myself to write a smut scene with only 100 words per drabble. If you’re intrigued, you can check it out – you don’t need to know anything really about Mass Effect to read this mini-series. Lol.  

5. Stealth Trials

I finished this minific at the start of this month but I started it on New Year’s Eve, so it counts! I’m still stunned that this non-ship with an extremely minor NPC with NO ACTUAL NAME was read and commented on as much as it was, and very very grateful! (And as a bonus: I FINALLY GOT MY BLAZING SUN ON THAT FUCKING SLEIGHT OF CRATES TRIAL. The Keeper was proud of me.)💕

ANYWAY, that’s my 5 favourite works of the year! I hope some of you enjoyed some of them as much as I enjoyed writing them!
