COMING SOON: More Niloy but also ALOY/IKRIE

I’ve unfortunately gotten kind of slow in writing during the past few weeks but rest assured that the HZD writing will continue. Here’s what I’ve got brewing:

– A collaborative series of Tumblr-exclusive photo+ficlet posts in conjunction with the lovely and talented @horizonfan12!
– More Niloy oneshots. I have two in mind, and then I might be needing ideas. <wiggles eyebrows>
– An Aloy/Ikrie longfic that I’ve been planning for months and now I’m finally going to get to it. Guys, I just searched for the Aloy/Ikrie ship on AO3 and there’s only one hit. And then if I search for Aloy/Ikrie in any field there are only three hits and one of them is me just because Ikrie shows up in What Else Matters. IT’S TIME TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION.

Anyway. That’s me for now. Stay tuned if you are so inclined! xoxo

Hey there, love everything you do! Can I ask what alignments you see for your Nil and Aloy? What most makes you think that?

Thanks for the ask @makocartwheels! I happily and cheerfully did the alignment test for Nil and Aloy and here’s what we’ve got:

Nil: Chaotic Neutral

Nil does what he feels like when he feels like it. Before Aloy, he didn’t care about anyone or anything except getting a good kill. He scorns rules and authority; during times in his life when he did follow the rules, e.g. going to prison, being in the Carja military, resricting his killing to bandits… these were just the best ways for him to get his freedom and/or to keep doing what he likes. He genuinely doesn’t give a shit about ideas of good or evil. This is pretty textbook Chaotic Neutral. Even after Nil falls in love with Aloy, his selfless devotion to her still fits within the Chaotic Neutral profile: what he wants most is to be with her, so he’s prone to doing anything necessary – including sacrificing his own needs and cutting down anyone in his way – to meet that singular desire. Chaotic Neutral characters are considered to be selfish and individualistic, and Nil’s devotion could be considered selfish in that he loves Aloy so much that serving her needs and doing what she wants keeps her close to him, which is what he wants.

I actually did the alignment test twice – once for before he met Aloy, and once for after their relationship was established. It still came out as the same alignment, which I love: I take this to mean that his character has developed over the course of the series but his underlying nature hasn’t dramatically changed.

Aloy: Neutral Good

I know different people have slightly different interpretations of Aloy, but the way I’ve written her is pretty textbook Neutral Good. My Aloy’s motto is “the strength to stand alone is the strength help those who can’t”. She works with authorities like Avad, but only if they’re just and good. She speaks out against unfairness and injustice and evil, from the way the Nora treat outcasts to murderers like Helis, even if it puts her in danger. She cooperates and works with people, but prefers to work alone (especially before meeting Nil) as she relies primarily on her own skill and competence.

Commonalities between Aloy’s and Nil’s alignments

Interestingly, there are common threads between Aloy and Nil’s alignments, which may be part of what helps them find common ground even though they’re very different people. Laws and rules and authority don’t mean much to either of them; they prefer to work alone (or together just the two of them); and freedom is important to them both, albeit a different kind of freedom for each of them: to Nil, it’s his own individual freedom to do whatever the fuck he feels like, whereas for Aloy, it’s a human’s freedom to choose his or her own life course that she values.

I hope this was interesting for you, my friend!! xo

Shameless Niloy smut: bandit roleplay and bondage

What else can I say? Am I a degenerate? If yes, do I care? NOT REALLY.

Please enjoy. Thanks to @hellarcanine for the inspiration, encouragement, and LOVE!! xo

Nil smirked… then his eyes fell on his red silk scarf, pooled in a messy pile on the dressing table where he’d dropped it before their bath.

He reached over and picked up the scarf, then slowly ran it through his fingers before lifting his gaze to Suntress’s face.

Her eyes were wide, flicking between his face and the scarf in his hands. Her lips were as flushed now as her cheeks. Unconsciously she licked her lips, then asked, “What are you going to do with that?”

Nil’s shoulders relaxed slightly at the tone of her voice: it was breathy with unmistakable desire, exactly what he was hoping to hear. He tilted his head, then matter-of-factly he said, “I’m going to tie you down.”

He glanced at their bed with its ridiculously ornate carved wooden headboard. Nil had always disdained the fanciness of this bed, but the possibilities dancing through his mind now were… undeniably tempting.

He looked back at Suntress again, and desire sizzled through his nerves as he observed the hunger in her face. She shifted her weight slightly, reminding Nil  of a Ravager about to pounce. “And then?” she whispered.

Nil took another step towards her, scarf in hand. “I’ll torture you until you beg for mercy,” he said flatly.

Suntress stepped away from him and bit her lip, a teasing expression that contrasted with the blazing intensity of her hazel eyes. “I’m a fearless bandit. I won’t beg,” she retorted.

Nil took another predatory step towards her. “A challenge. That’s my favourite kind of prey,” he growled.

Read the rest on AO3.

Hi, new follower here who found you after falling in love with your Niloy fics on AO3. And as much as I adore Niloy, this request is actually about the Stealth trials Keeper and his fic. I would LOVE to see another chapter that follows up on chapter 3, where Aloy gets to continue giving her curiosity and desire for learning more free rein [suggestive eyebrow wiggle], preferably some place a little safer and more private so she can get him to lose a little more control. Love your writing!

Hey! Thanks for the follow, my friend!

Ahhh, the Stealth Keeper… <insert wistful sigh> I might do another oneshot. MAYBE. I honestly can’t decide. I really loved writing that little minific, and I do have an idea for an additional oneshot, but the fic feels complete as it is. I worry that it would spoil the completeness of the fic to keep adding more…

That being said, I do love the Stealth Keeper a whole lot more than I thought I would when I first wrote that oneshot. I’m sorry I can’t promise to write another chapter, but in the meantime, I have some more shippy photos of him and Aloy that I’ll happily post… 😍

Thanks for your readership and for following!! xo
