It’s not even December 17th and I am already over the bullshit.

And their purity-bot algorithm blows. Hard.

The manual effort they’ve placed on content creators to straighten out this mess is pretty epic –– about about half of the art I’ve posted has been flagged –– and with tumblr’s tagging / search / linking in the shitter, they’ve crippled their site in time of crisis. These kind of blanket bans can be platform killers especially when it drives the content creators away. And this is just stupid on all sorts of levels.

So where does that leave me? Waiting. I’m not on twitter, and I don’t plan to be. (I’m on A03 as Kauri, but that’s about it.) I love this community. I’m here for this community. There are a thousand ways for tumblr to effectively curb cp and bots without a wholesale ban on sex, nudity and “female presenting nipples” –– so I guess I’m gonna ride it out for a bit, and hope they figure their shit out.

Will be keeping tabs on you, Kauri! All the love! xoxo

I’m actually pretty sad that Tumblr is going through this… ‘purging’, and the completely erasing blogs with adult content. While DeviantArt and Instagram may be the very first place I post my art on, Tumblr is where I meet absolutely wonderful friends and followers, where I’m able to do commissions, where I’m able to interact directly to people and where my following is the biggest. As flawed and as problematic Tumblr is, this platform made all these possible.

In any case, I will continue to use Tumblr for as long as possible, but if my blog were to be deleted, here are my other social media platforms that you can follow:
